The image below is a BWM 250D, 2.5cc Diesel Engine, made circa 1952 by Berlin Workshops for Model Mechanics, and distributed by BWM, Horst Freise, Berlin, Germany.
Devised by Rudolf Diesel in 1892, based on the Carnot Cycle theory, the Diesel engine relies on compression of the air and fuel in the chamber to create heat enough to ignite the mixture and drive the motor. |
