1/10 Scale Electric Buggy:
Kyosho Turbo Optima 2019 - 30619
|
Introduced by Kyosho in 2019, the 4WD Turbo Optima buggy kit - # 30619, is No.7 in their "Vintage Series", reproducing the original 1986 Turbo Optima (# 3130).
The new Turbo Optima is based on the same chassis as previous "Vintage Series" models, the Optima and Javelin, and is belt driven, but can be converted to the original chain driven spec, on an alloy ladder-frame, double deck chassis, with gear type differentials, coil spring over oil filled dampers and ball bearings.
Not in truth a racing car for the 21st century, the new Turbo Optima, like all previous series models, is more of a collectors temporary cabinet filler than a serious buggy for the modern day race track..... Looks nice though.
Check out our Kyosho Archive for other Vintage Buggy models.
To get the best from the Kyosho Turbo Optima, it needs to be fine tuned, to provide precise steering response and improve grip when cornering, so you don't slide off the track. Small changes can make huge advancements and our easy to understand guide will help you to the optimum Set-up for your individual driving style.

Hints, Tips and Information
Sway Bars
On most forms of RC model cars, Sway Bars, also referred to as Stabilizers, Torsion Bars, or more commonly in some parts as Anti Roll Bars, are often nothing more than a short length of spring steel, clamped to the chassis or sometimes the gearbox of the car, extending out to the lower wishbones direct or connected to the wishbones using short adjustable or fixed length links and ball joints, depending on their position. |

Battery Connectors
Over the years I have been racing radio controlled model cars of all descriptions, I have tried a number of different connectors for my batteries.
