Kyosho AMG Mercedes Benz CLK GTR - 2WD GP Spider MKII - 31832
|
Released by Kyosho circa 1999, the AMG Mercedes Benz CLK GTR - # 31832 - is based on the 2WD version of the PureTen GP Spider MKII Touring Car chassis, and came as an unassembled kit, with a clear lexan polycarbonate Bodyshell and GS-11R Engine. A Radio System, Starter and Fuel to be purchased separately.
The 2WD model is essentially the 4WD chassis with a modified front end, and is belt driven, on a double deck alloy plate chassis, with a gear type differential, coil spring over oil filled dampers (SS Racing), dogbone drive-shafts and bushings. A wide number of upgrade options were available - check out our Exploded View page, linked below.

To get the best from the Kyosho AMG Mercedes Benz, it needs to be fine tuned, to provide precise steering response and improve grip when cornering, so you don't slide off the track. Small changes can make huge advancements and our easy to understand guide will help you to the optimum Set-up for your individual driving style.

Hints, Tips and Information
Painting a Lexan Body Shell.
Most RC Model kits come with an unpainted, clear Lexan plastic Body Shell you yourself must prepare and paint. This type of Body Shell is painted on the inside, and special spray or brush on Polycarbonate Paints MUST be used.

Hints, Tips and Information
Gearing to Win
Just because you have the latest model, the best available batteries, the most powerful electric motor or nitro engine, doesn't mean you will go out and win everything in sight. The fastest car on the track is rarely the one that wins, it's the one that can accelerate out of corners under control, and remains consistent and efficient from the start to the end of a race.
